High-Performance Industrial Finishing Solutions

CS Control Systems provides high-performance industrial ovens and finishing solutions designed to deliver efficiency, consistency, and long-lasting results for a wide range of applications. From curing and drying to complete finishing systems, our solutions are built to support demanding production environments with reliable performance, precise temperature control, and quality craftsmanship. We focus on helping businesses improve workflow, maximize output, and achieve professional-grade finishing results with systems tailored to their specific operational needs.

How a Finishing Booth Protects Your Finish Quality

Airflow is the entire job. A finishing booth exists to move air across the part in a controlled, consistent pattern so atomized coating lands on the workpiece while overspray is carried away before it can settle back onto a wet surface. When that airflow is balanced correctly you get uniform film build and far fewer defects. When it drifts — loaded filters, an undersized exhaust fan, a poorly placed intake — you get dust nibs, orange peel, and rework.

Booth Configurations

  • Crossdraft — air enters at the front and exits at the rear. The simplest and most economical layout, well suited to general fabrication work.
  • Semi-downdraft — air enters high at the front and exits low at the rear, pulling overspray down and away from the operator breathing zone.
  • Downdraft — air enters through the ceiling and exits through floor grating or a pit. The cleanest airflow pattern and the usual choice where finish quality is critical.
  • Side-draft — air exits through the side walls. A practical compromise where floor excavation is not possible.

Filtration and Compliance

Finishing booths are regulated equipment. Design and installation generally need to satisfy NFPA 33 for spray application of flammable materials, OSHA requirements covering worker exposure, and local air quality rules — which in Southern California means South Coast AQMD permitting.

Intake and exhaust filtration stages should be specified for the coating actually being sprayed. Filter loading needs monitoring too, because a loaded filter changes booth pressure and airflow well before the problem becomes visually obvious.

Built For Finish Quality

Engineered Airflow

Airflow balance determines finish quality. We design each booth’s intake, exhaust, and face velocity around the parts you are spraying, so overspray clears properly and your finish stays consistent.

Configured To Your Space

Booth dimensions, door placement, and airflow direction are built around your building and your workflow — not adapted from a catalog size that almost fits.

Compliance Built In

Systems are designed to meet NFPA 33 and local air quality requirements from the start, so permitting and inspection are part of the plan rather than a problem discovered later.
